Florida Hospital Visit, Feed the Children Charity Giveback and Battle of the Bands Wrap Up Friday’s AutoNation Cure Bowl Events

ORLANDO, Fla. (CureBowl.com) – The festivities for Georgia State and San Jose State continued on Friday with both teams giving back to partners of the AutoNation Cure Bowl presented by Florida Hospital before a Battle of the Bands Pep Rally at Universal CityWalk.

After both teams held a walk through at the Orlando Citrus Bowl, select members of the Panthers and Spartans headed to Florida Hospital to spread some holiday cheer among the children fight the battle for their lives. There was even a stop by the Storm Troopers from Star Wars.

The rest of both teams attended a charity give back-event held at their respective hotels that created meals for Feed the Children. The teams combined to pack around 50,000 meals, while San Jose State packed a record 30,340 meals in 50 minutes of teamwork.

The Panthers’ and Spartans’ Marching Bands topped off the evening with a pep rally held on the waterside stage at Universal City Walk. Fans along with coaches and players enjoyed the event.

The inaugural AutoNation Cure Bowl presented by Florida Hospital kicks off at 7 p.m. Saturday on CBS Sports Network with Georgia State battling San Jose State. The festivities outside the Orlando Citrus Bowl begin at noon with the Florida Hospital Cure Village before Joe Nichols and Jana Kramer perform on the AutoNation Concert Stage at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at CureBowl.com.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
