Media Information
The online media credentials application for the 2020 FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl is officially open.
DUE TO COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS THERE ARE A LIMITED NUMBER OF MEDIA APPROVED FOR ON-SITE COVERAGE. PLEASE NOTE THAT PER ESPN EVENTS GUIDELINES, NO MEDIA WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE FIELD.
Submit your FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl media credential application via e-mail to Nate Blythe at nblythe@theosf.com. The credential application deadline for all requests will be Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, media also have the option to cover the game remotely. For remote media, please contact Nate Blythe at nblythe@theosf.com to be added to the bowl week distribution list for access to virtual press conference links, stats and notes.
Please provide the following information in your application:
- Contact Info (full name/E-mail/number)
- Agency
- Type of Media
- Website
- Total Number of Attendees
- List Attendees & Roles (i.e. full names with roles – photographer/director/editor/etc.)
Media credentials are limited due to reduced stadium capacity and safety protocols. All media will be working from the press box and appropriately socially-distanced spaces. No field access will be permitted this year including photographers.
Sports editors/directors and/or photography editors only need to submit ONE APPLICATION PER MEDIA AGENCY. They can request working media credentials for all members of their agency in a single application. When submitting the application, the sports editor/director and/or photography editor should list him/herself as the “contact” and list media members assigned to cover the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl as “attendees.” If acquiring credentials for himself/herself, the “contact” will need to be listed as an attendee as well. Sports editors/directors and/or photo editors will also need to list the organization’s name, type and contact information.
The FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl will be played Saturday, Dec. 26 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. It will be televised nationally on ESPN and carried on ESPN Radio, including FM 96.9 The Game locally.
Media Credentials
Members of the media who wish to cover the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl may apply for credentials by submitting a request to Nate Blythe (nblythe@theosf.com). The FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl will ask the media relations directors of the participating schools to review the list of applicants on all credential requests, with applicants subject to final approval by the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl staff.
Media members who have been approved may pick up their credentials on gameday. Credentials will NOT be mailed. Game day Media Will Call will start at 3:30 p.m. at the elevator gate at Gate D.
Media Parking
A limited number of parking passes are available. Parking passes may be applied for during the credential application process.
Frequency Coordination
All media must frequency coordinate all wireless devices used anywhere on the stadium property whether it be pregame, during the game or postgame. Coordination includes all microwave transmissions, wireless microphones, IFB, two-way radios, etc., exclusive of cell phones. An email reminder will be sent to all credentialed media with the information of the GDC.
Interviews
Participating schools are asked to make their players and coaches available to the media throughout Bowl Week. Interview availability and practice schedules for players and coaches will be supplied by each school’s media relations department. The Orlando Sports Foundation will provide updated practice information via email once confirmed.
Postgame Interviews
Each team will receive a 10-minute cooling off period. Following the 10-minute cooling off period, the head coach and at least one player from the runner-up team will be made available for a Virtual Press Conference on Zoom. After the runner-up team’s appearance, the winning head coach and at least two players will be available. One of the players will be the game’s Most Valuable Player. No interviews are permitted on the field after the game, except for the ESPN broadcast and live radio with contracted broadcast rights. All other postgame player availability will be up to the respective schools.
Internet/Statistics
The press box at Camping World Stadium is equipped with wireless internet and wired ethernet connections at each seat. Media will be given a passcode for wireless use on game day. Statistics will also be accessible from any laptop in the press box. A website will be distributed prior to the game for those interested.
