Camping World Stadium, the grandfather of the Orlando Venues facilities, began as a Works Progress Administration project by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1936. The facility was named the Orlando Stadium and was built for $115,000. The stadium was renamed the Tangerine Bowl in 1947 and the first college football bowl game was played here on January 1, 1947. Catawba College defeated Maryville College 31-6. At that time, the stadium seating capacity was 10,000.
In 1952, the stadium capacity was expanded by 2,000 seats and was host to the “Little Bowl with the Big Heart,” because all proceeds from the game went directly to charity. In 1968, the stadium underwent another expansion bringing seating capacity to 17,000 and the first press box was constructed. The Tangerine Bowl underwent expansion from 1974 to 1976, to bring the total seating capacity to 50,000.
On April 27, 2016, the venue was renamed Camping World Stadium as part of a multi-year naming rights sponsorship with Camping World, the premier one-stop-shop for recreational vehicles (RVs).
Camping World Stadium is located at 1 Citrus Bowl Place, Orlando, FL 32805
STADIUM ENTRY & GATES
For direct and efficient access to your seats, please enter the stadium through the gate indicated on your ticket. All gates open one hour prior to game time.
CARRY-IN ITEMS AND ENTRY SEARCH
In the interest of guest and staff safety, a search process is required to prevent guests from bringing unauthorized and prohibited items into the stadium. Guests who refuse to submit to either visual or pat down searches will be refused entry. Security personnel will conduct these searches. The guest must throw the prohibited item in the trash or return the item to their vehicle. Search sticks may be used to move items around, if necessary. Any items in question should be removed by the guest.
CLEAR BAG POLICY
To provide a safer environment for the public and significantly expedite patron entry to Camping World Stadium, a ‘clear bag’ policy will be implemented. This policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the stadium.
We strongly encourage patrons to not bring any type of bags, but have outlined which types of bags are permissible. Click here for full policy.
Once admitted to Camping World Stadium, you may NOT leave and re-enter the stadium.
All children who have reached their second birthday by the date of the game require a ticket for entry.
Lost tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will be handled on a case by case basis at the Box Office. Please bring photo ID and confirmation number.
WILL-CALL & TICKET PURCHASE
Will-Call for tickets previously purchased through Ticketmaster or obtained through the Orlando Sports Foundation will be available for pick up at the Box Office located near Gate A. A picture ID is required to pick up tickets at will-call and tickets will be released only to the person whose name is on the order. Any additional purchases for tickets on game day can also be made at the Box Office.
WILL-CALL – PLAYER/TEAM GUEST TICKETS
