ORLANDO, Fla. – November 23, 2015 – The AutoNation Cure Bowl presented by Florida Hospital announced today that it has named iHeartRadio’s FM 969 The Game as the official radio home for its inaugural game. The partnership includes exclusive local radio broadcast rights to the December 19 showdown between the Sun Belt and American Athletic Conferences at the iconic Orlando Citrus Bowl – including pre and post-game coverage – as well as:

  • Presence at the pregame Fan Fest in the Florida Hospital Cure Village at Tinker Field from 12-7pm on December 19
  • Game tickets for on-air giveaways on all iheartMedia’s Orlando stations – WYGM-FM, WRUM-FM, WJRR-FM, WMGF-FM, WKTS-FM, WXXL-FM
  • Multichannel co-marketing efforts promoting the official relationship

“It was critical to bring aboard the right radio partner for the AutoNation Cure Bowl’s first game and FM 969 The Game emerged as our top choice early on,” said Alan Gooch, Executive Director of the Orlando Sports Foundation. “Sports fans across Central Florida know The Game is the go-to station for both high-quality sports broadcasts and original programming. We look forward to seeing the station, as well as our other promotional partners in the iHeartMedia Orlando cluster, bring the inaugural AutoNation Cure Bowl to life.”

FM 969’s broadcast of the inaugural AutoNation Cure Bowl kicks off Saturday, December 19 at 6:30pm and will be streamed nationally and as a simulcast on WYGM-AM locally and SiriusXM to U.S., Canada and Mexico markets. Play-by-play broadcast of the AutoNation Cure Bowl, featuring FM 969 The Game’s Paul Kennedy, begins at 7 p.m.

“FM 969 The Game is dedicated to covering the Orlando sports scene and are excited to be partnered with the Orlando Sports Foundation to bring radio listeners in Central Florida and beyond the first ever Cure Bowl on December 19th on FM 96.9, AM 740 and iHeartRadio,” said Rick Everett, Program Director of WYGM-AM/FM 969 The Game and Director of Promotions & Events for iHeartMedia Orlando.
